Winko Woodworks is a family-run shop opened in 1994 by Mike and Winnie Kovac.Mike's life dream had been to have
his own woodworking company. He loves wood and derives great satisfaction from
working with his hands. Every aspect of the job, i.e. designing, drawing up
the plans, selecting the wood, building the project, and selecting the finish all go
together to create a product that you would be proud to have in your home or office.
Each new project is an exciting challenge. Some of these projects have been unique
in design: a three panel room divider screen with a Chinese motif which are personally
designed by Mike; a seven drawer lingerie chest made to match an existing bed and dresser.
Custom CD Rack that can hold 460 CD's. Custom designed beds with different
headboards and storage drawers beneath; a floor-to-ceiling entertainment center to fit an
alcove in a home up in Mulholland Estates.
Taking your idea and making it into something special, that's what we do. We can
design and build your special project. We take the time to listen to what you
want and attend to each detail to create a piece that is of the highest quality, and do it
within a very reasonable amount of time and at reasonable prices. Each piece of wood is
hand-selected to assure the best presentation possible.
